Bitmapped images on cards

The latest issue with cards are the bitmapped images that can be placed on the appointment cards in TIFF or PDF formats. The advantage of doing this is that it makes the card much more memorable, which may assist your efforts to cut down your missed appointments, thereby reducing lost revenue. The key factor is to not make the bitmapped image so overwhelming that it overwhelms the spacial area of the write-in area of the card. You don’t want to squeeze this area so tight that there is no room left to write on legibly. We have found that placing the bitmapped image at left center is the optimum location so that the card can be written on the designated lines which indicate the date and time.
Bitmapped images are tricky and should be chosen wisely for the card. The wrong image can have the exact opposite effect and make the appoint card look tacky as opposed to more attractive. Another factor to keep in mind is that you will be printing on an uncoated/unglossy side of the card so that it can be written on. This can make images look less attractive as opposed to being printed on a glossy coating. It’s important to remember that you can never have the main side with a glossy coating as it’s impossible to write on.

Below is a good example of a bitmappted image on a card.
