This is the latest sample we created for one of our customers. We created two reminder cards for the client...One in the generic cyan blue and one with a two-tone yellow/navy blue. The client's cancellation policy is conspicuously noted at the bottom in bold red lettering. In this case the specialist does not list the address nor the medical specialty for the sake of the privacy of the client. Further samples we be created.
The graphic above is a standard digitized layout of an appointment card, created in Adobe Illustrator, CS2 - Windows XP version 45.02S. This layout shows the entire card as it would be submitted to the printer for final printing. The cyan mark you see at upper left shows the "crop marks," which tell the printer precisely where the card is to be cut. The next light line you see in the card shows the card as it will look when it's cut. It is critical that any text not go beyond or even come close to this link. The third inner line, indicated by the yellow line at right, shows the box where all text should be enclosed. It is important to keep text inside this line to make sure that it's not too close to the edge of the appointment card.
The color of the reminder card, in this case on off yellow, goes to the area outside of where the card is to print...this is known as a "bleed" and it's used to keep color from being cut off from where the card is to be cut by the printer.
In the interior part you see the main text of the appointment card. In this case the standard name, address, phone, fax, web address and the standard areas to write in for whom the appointment is for...the time and date of the appointment and who it is with. There is no writing on the flip side of the card. That will be the same color as the front side and being that it's matte, you can also write on this side too in case any additional information is need to be made on the reminder card. The style of the appointment card is very important. We now offer reverse text.
